Leading With Your Life

Lead With Your Life

Leading with your life can take place in a variety of ways.  For Christians, workplace assignments are opportunities to represent Christ and shine bright because you might be the only Gospel some people ever hear, and this is why your integrity and faithfulness are crucial.  Many times, people just need to see you authentically live out your faith so they can see that it’s real.  Leading with your life is about positively impacting society and shining BRIGHT, which is an acronym for:

Bring your best self to work and lead with your life.

Regularly ask God to give you wisdom for solutions to problems.

Intentionally live out your faith so people can see that it is real.

Graciously avoid gossip and speak the truth in love.

Have an attitude of excellence and give your best effort in all things.

Take responsibility for your mistakes and endeavor to make things right.

Christ followers ought to be the best employees, supervisors, directors, executives and entrepreneurs.  Therefore, make it your goal to be honest, gracious, faithful and humble as you endeavor to be an avenue of transformation and reconciliation in your work environment.  And when you do blow it and make a mistake, be quick to admit it, do what’s necessary to fix it, then learn from it and move past it – not only is this empowering for you, but it’s also encouraging for others to witness!  Always remember that the integrity with which you live your life reveals the genuine nature of your relationship with God.

Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words. — Francis Of Assisi

Be consistent about leading with your life as an opportunity to represent Christ.  When faced with challenges, pray and ask God to give you wisdom for innovative solutions to problems.  You don’t need permission, or a fancy title, to lead the way in presenting divinely inspired strategies to creatively solve problems in a way that might be eluding others.

Spiritual Perspective:  The Message Bible* says it like this In Colossians 3:23-24, “Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that you’ll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance. Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you’re serving is Christ.”  You have been commissioned by God to be His servant leader in the church and in the worldSo lead with your life and glorify God in whatever role you’re in, and make it your goal to positively influence and transform society as part of your God-given assignment!

Renew, Refresh and Refocus:  What are some ways you can be an avenue of transformation and reconciliation in your work environment?  In what ways can you authentically live out your faith?  What’s the best way for you to lead with your life and glorify God in the various roles you find yourself in
