Personal application: Do not envy the blessings of others because it does more harm to you than anyone else and reflects a lack of faith in God’s love and provision for your life.  Trust God’s perfect love and timing to meet your needs and you will enjoy a peaceful spirit, soul and body.

Personal application: God’s direction for our lives brings fullness of life in every way and is intended to keep us from painful mistakes.

Personal application: Be intentional about how you live your life and consider the outcome of your actions so that each day brings you closer to God’s destiny for your life.

Personal application: Religion temps us to break rules, but a loving relationship with God inspires us to live out our faith rather than find ways to break rules.


1 Corinthians 10:23 We are free to do all things, but there are things which it is not wise to do. We are free to do all things, but not all things are for the common good. (Bible in Basic English)

Personal application: A right heart attitude considers the best intrest of others while living in God’s grace and freedom.

Personal application: God who made you will not give up on you.  He will fulfill his promises and purposes in your life

Personal application: A humble heart values the wisdom of God’s ways and that is the first step in preparation for greatness in your life.

Personal application: Don’t be discouraged when the unjust appear to succeed.  Your success comes from God and it will be stable, peaceful and purposeful.


Matthew 6:32-33 Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs, and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern. (New Living Translation)

Personal application: Don’t worry about everyday life, God has it all covered.  What you really need can only be found in Christ, so set your sights on Him.  He delights to take care of you.


Galatians 6:7 Make no mistake about this: You can never make a fool out of God.  Whatever you plant is what you’ll harvest. (God’s Word Translation)

Personal application:  Seeds are being planted all the time with your words and actions.  Be certain to plant seeds that bring the kind of harvest you want to receive.


Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a banquet for me, where all my enemies can see me; you welcome me as an honored guest and fill my cup to the brim.” (Good News Translation)

Personal application: Those who oppose you are no match for God.  He will rescue you and bless you with gladness, abundance and favor right in front of them.

Personal application: You can tell a lot about a person by the words they speak.   Wrong hearts bring discouragement, deceit and death.  A right heart right speaks words of life, liberty and love.


Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful, a puzzle that no one can figure out.”  (The Message)

Personal application: Actions and words reveal the heart condition.  Real change happens when the heart is healed by God’s touch.  Ask for His healing touch today!

Personal application: You will never be sorry when you take time to calm down and listen carefully before you speak.  Exercise self-control and don’t let anger get the best of you.

Personal application: God’s plans include that which is best for you.  Even when circumstances seem to look otherwise, you can be confident that He is working for your benefit.
